For the great 13 hours of no power you left behind!
The whole day we had high winds, high yes, but we had higher before. Ike however was some wicked storm because at 8:10PM we lost power and did not get it back till after 9AM. What's odd about this whole thing is that we lost power 40 minutes after the winds died down and we assumed we were in the clear.
We did venture out about an hour after we lost power and most of our city was left in the dark. We could also see lots of huge tress down but it was hard to see any other damage since it was pitch dark.
I am so thankful for having my power back, I am pretty sure the food in the refrigerator is a gone bad (or more like I dont really trust it) but the stuff in my freezer and deep freeze should still be good.
Its amazing Ike made contract with land in Texas and he still managed to make an impact here in Ohio.
